Champions of Europe!
From north to south of the boot, tricolors waving, people in the streets and squares and an irrepressible joy that exploded after the success on penalties in the final of the 2020 European Championships at Wembley
Football represents more than a game for the Italians and the Italian national team is a passion that unites entire generations. On the occasion of the most important tournaments there is a riot of flags hanging outside every balcony, of choirs, screams, shouts of encouragement or disappointment, because yes, the official coach sits on the bench but every Italian would like to be in his place. It is therefore more than 100 years, since the founding of the football federation in 1898 that Italians are enthusiastic about what can be considered a real national tradition.
On this tour we will go to the home of the Azzurri, visiting the technical center of Coverciano, considered one of the most prestigious sports centers in the world. We will tell you the story of the Azzurri by entering the fields where the national team trains, which here makes the retreats and training sessions before the official matches.
We will visit the museum which houses exhibitions and exhibits relics related to the history of the national team. The museum not only wants to tell the story of the FIGC but aims to convey the values of sport such as the sense of sacrifice for the team, solidarity, altruism, tenacity and respect for the opponent. We will see the cups and trophies won by the team in its history, some interesting memorabilia and the shirts of the most famous players including some uniforms of players from other national teams such as the legendary Maradona.
The jerseys worn by the champions of Europe 2020, such as Chiesa and Donnarumma, are exhibited in the newly inaugurated rooms, one for each of the races that led to the triumph of Wembley. In the courtyard there is also a giant picture of the team with space to insert your face and then be able to take a souvenir photo as part of this magical team.
